I got a IR (R72) filter to shoot on the LX3.
The picture is all in red tone. There's no blue even though I turned the blue channel to the max. Am I using the right filter? Also, when I put the filter on an SLR lens and shoot on the 5D, the exposure is so much longer than shooting on the LX3 even though the exposure settings are the same. ![]() |

1. show us original picture before processing, chances are wb setting off.
2. 5d is known to be less sensitive to ir than usual, nothing new |

U're right! It is the WB. But how to set the 'correct' WB? Use a white object? |

use green grass in sunlight to fill the frame, shoot that, make sure you correctly expose it (not under, that is usually the problem), and use that as the wb then output should all be sepia in tone, if you get the correct wb. canon should not have problem getting correct wb, but some camera cannot get correct wb, then you have to correct in pp. |
