How much does it cost on average to print an colour A4 page using an inkjet printer?
I'm trying to work out a budget for some printing jobs and have recently purchased an HP Pro K5400 printer. I am looking to find out how much it would cost roughly to print a side of A4 in colour. 118118 suggested £44 which I really hope is wrong!! Anyone with any sensible suggestions please let me know. Thanks.

Depends on the printer. Now let's say you're using a 6-ink printer with a capacity of about 200 prints per cart. Say the 6-inks are about $20 a cart, which is $120 per 200 prints. Now add on the price of photo paper, which can be say 40c a sheet. So that works out to about $1 a print, not counting printer cost and depreciation. That's amortized over the print life of the printer, so I can't work that out for you. Suffice to know that the marginal cost is about $1 a print, varying with supply costs.

are u printing colour photos or documents? My personal experience for A4 colour photos is $3 to $4 per photo.

1 set of 6 colours inks is not enough for 50 A4 prints.
