    Which one better? EF-S 18-55mm or Tamron 19-35mm

    Any comments from who has experience with this lens?

    EF-s cheaper... much cheaper...

    i know, but how about the quality? is that canon relly capture 18mm, i read some where said it approx. equivalent to a 35mm format 28-90mm lens, anybody know what its mean?

    Quality, I don't know, never used one before.

    But it is equal to a 28-90 is because of the cropping factor of 300D. Based on the cropping factor, whatever you see in the viewfinder and your printout is about 1.6x a 35mm view. Thus 18 x 1.6 = 28.8 and 55 x 1.6 = 88, thus the equipvalent viewspace is about 28-90mm.... in actual fact it is about 29 - 90mm.
