    Buildings at the back are distracting.

    The background dun really add anything to the pic.

    The lantern banner is a good touch, zig-zaging into the pic. Leads viwer eyes into the pic.

    Will the background be better if you shoot from the other direction?

    I'm ok with the background....
    It depends on what you want to show or the theme. I remembered there was a competition to show Spore's development and many participants shot something similar - old vs new building.

    However, I prefer the vertical lines to be straighten up using PS.

    Just a suggestion.....

    yeap my intention was to contrast the new buildings with the shophouses, so tried to let the shophouses lead in into the background buildings... hmm then i guess the title should be changed.
