Aiyo, where got rest? So far for this June vacation, there are only 5 weekdays which I don't have to go to school ...

Will have to report for work on Monday and all the way from there ...

if school break is extending by 2 weeks think of how the canteen operators, school bus drivers will suffer without being paid for 2 weeks. are u going to pay to them?

who is going to look after the kids when they are at home? Not all people are borned with a maid to serve them

This is very true...hahaha... outsiders see as "one month"...it's actually only few days. Teachers have to go back for this and that, meetings, and what other whatsoevers. When will the real truth be publicly out???

    Stress for the teachers.

So are they better paid? What is the average income of a teacher after 5 years of service?

What are the benefits? Do they enjoy the same benefits as a Civil Servant?

More lah... but when I think abt the works to do and the complaints to handle, I just can't help to feel not worth it unless one really have the passion to teach.

actually i think the MOE is very strategic.. they only put a 7 day extension for those who came back from badly affected areas (eg japan, usa, mexico, canada..). this way it doesnt affect the whole student cohort (or else stuff like O lvls, A lvls, PSLE all will be affected... which can get very troublesome)

NYP just announced a further 1 Week extension for their break.

You have no idea the kind of chaos that my course is undergoing now due to filming schdeule, project deadlines, interviews and what not.

Argh, gotta live with it I guess, safety for everyone comes first regardless of deadlines and schdeules.

But for now, stay healthy, and if sick, stay away from others and find a doc asap!
