Hi, I'm looking to sell my Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar 50mm f2.8 prime lens.

For those who are familiar with old lenses, this is a rather popular lens that produces remarkable photos. For those who are not, the brand Carl Zeiss should ring a bell still. This lens has M42 mount which allows it to be mounted on an Alpha/Minolta AF DSLR using an adapter. I am only selling the lens, not the adapter.

The lens comes with both caps. I will try to provide some pictures.

Physical condition of the lens is about 8.5 with few fine marks on the external body. The optical condition is about 8 with some dust as expected from old lenses. No fungus or scratches on the elements. The reason why it is an 8 is because the focusing ring is a bit tight, NOT SUPER TIGHT but just a wee bit of resistance at a certain range. The manual aperture ring is working fine.

Note that exif will say f1.7 because the lens is only on a confirm adapter and the aperture is set manually using an aperture ring.
