Recommend me a digital camera

I want a camera that is slim & is able to capture sharp and clear pictures.I feel that a lot of the point and shoot digital cameras cannot focus properly and the photos often turn out blury.
I take more night shots as usually i would take night group pictures with my friends and night scenery. My budget is no more than $500. Any brand is alright as long as it can produce sharp and not blury quality.

Fx38, FS15 and FS6 (Can add any FS series according to your budget).
Night shots, i wont say it will be fantastic thou but shouldnt be too bad but dun expect too high.
