hey guys, i'll be going to bangkok on friday for a short getaway. currently i'm lacking a flashgun. i was thinking of getting a SB-600 from bangkok if it's cheaper than SG and if it comes with international warranty. i was also thinking of getting the Tokina 12-24 f/4 lens for my D300 but only if i can get international warranty..

do you guys think that it would cheaper in thailand?

Get local quotes before going. Check in Thailand and if they are cheaper then buy, if not, don't buy.

Your main concern is international warranty so just make sure you are not getting a grey set in Thailand.

Let us know if it is cheaper there when you get back.

how do i check if its a grey set? tht means its 2nd hand is it?

dont really like the idea of getting 2nd hand flashes. just not very appealing to me.

Grey set are so called parallel imported products not 2nd hand product. The item is still manufactured by the same company but does not carry the authorized dealer's warranty. So, in this case, the grey set will not carry the international warranty that you are looking for.
