Nice clean background and composition.

You reckon if you upped the contrast in Photoshop abit, the picture will have more vibrant colours?

No, the control under the Brightness/Contrast pulldown from the Adjustments menu in Photoshop. Pull the contrast slider up a bit and see how the image appears. It'll control the saturation and make your colours a bit more vibrant. The background in your shot looks a bit dull at the moment. Try it and see!

Very nice composition. Damselflies are slightly facing the cam, makes it diff from the traditional side view shots.

nice shot

I think the top one is slightly blur due to shallow DOF ...

Or better yet, add a curves adjustment layer. Add 3 points to the line, one in the center and one in the top right and bottom left (half way between center and top/bottom of line). Drag these points so that the line turns into the shape of an S (ie. drag point in top right up and point in bottom left down - drag very slightly). There you have a basic contrast adjusting curve. Curves are much better using brightness / contrast adjustments. As you've made the change as a layer, can tweak the curve as many times as you like until you are happy.
