But I find the pics underexposed and tad soft though.

Hi SGT. Pepper,

Thanks for your valuable comments, actually was trying out the D100. It seems to be giving me underexposed shots even at +0.3ev. Every other setting was tuned to AUTO (eg. Tone, Sharpness WB). I chose sRGB I for this series.

Then again, I was only using the built-in speedlight.

Any tips from fellow D100 users on macro shots?

Did you shoot using Av ot Tv?
Those shots are atleast 1 stop underexposed to me. I dont think D100 metering is that bad.
