I note that ebay's full of neoprene straps that look remarkably like the Matin neoprene straps. I'm wondering whether the straps out there are any good. Has anyone actually bought and tried one out? Thanks!

they are matin, if the ad says so. Cost around $26. Good. durable. I'm still using my first from a few yrs ago, maybe 5 yrs ago. & it doesn't stink, i mean it doesn't absorb sweat & stinks.

Indeed the Matin straps appear to be well made. I have one, too. However, I saw this:
http://cgi.ebay.com.sg/Neoprene-Neck...3%3A1|294%3A50 It looks almost exactly like my Matin strap except for the lack of the logo. There are other versions out there if you search for "neoprene strap" on ebay. |

Just to clarify, I know that they're not Matin and are likely knockoffs. I'm just wondering if the knockoffs are any good. Otherwise I'd stick with Matin

just like to share that matin straps are selling in HK at S$15 (curve) and S$12.30 for (straight).
So, if you have friends visiting HK...good time to ask them to buy 2, and keep 1 for spare. |

So after a shoot, I always closes the bag but leave the strap dangling outside to air dry as I go home;dry after a while.

Yanou, they've got Matins on ebay going for around $16. Unfortunately, the $16 ones have Canon and Nikon wordings...and well...I don't like my strap to go around advertizing the camera's brand. Bleh.
