Finally managed to get a nice picture of the Oriental Magpie Robin (Copsychus Saularis).
![]() Have shot this bird numerous times before but never could manage a clean well exposed shot - since it has a black/blue head (male) and so is difficult to get a good shot.. ![]() Very happy with this mother and her "precious" shot... Hope you all like it too... ![]() ![]() |

Micky,
What a fantastic-poster-quality image. Nice clarity with ample details for this hard to capture birdie and with creamy background too. Very impressive! Nice work, pal

1. Mummy's white stripe on wing still blown ![]() 2. Twigs around the juveniles legs 3. Too high ISO (noisy?) Was actually doing 'action' shots so had pushed up the ISO and shutter speed - and not enough time to change settings back to 'portrait' type levels... so settings were off... luckily still not too bad exposure and can salvage the shot ! hehe... Thanks lachesiss, glad you like it ! ![]() Thanks Eric ! Last edited by limmick; 8th June 2009 at 02:09 AM. |

Thanks CCx9 !
Sorry Eric, I also don't know how to tell male from female for the juvenile. Maybe a Bird ID sifu can help enlighten us on this topic? Thanks! |
