Dear guys,
I have just found out that the round filter from Cokin is ideal for mod into a 77mm screw-in filter. Hope that this Mod will not drive up the price of the Cokin P007 round filters! This will be a great alternative to Hoya R72 77mm filter which is over S$200! Here is how it is done. (sorry for the poor images, never really focus..hehe) Step 1 Get a round version of Cokin P007 from one of your trusted photo dealers. ![]() ![]() Step 2 Push out the plastic retainer from the Cokin Filter and transfer the IR filter to a cheap/disused 77mm screw in filter. Details on how to take out the filter from the screw in filter can be found Ark19 initial guide on modding the Cokin P007 (thanks Ark19 for the initial guidance!) http://www.clubsnap.com/forums/showthread.php?t=287626 ![]() Step 3 Push back the retainer ring back into the filter and if your initial old screw in filter is still usable, you can then transfer it back to the Cokin round filter system. ![]() |
