Was trying to create 'film effect' to depict a different style from what i normally shoot.
So I shot this at high ISO to create the grain effect and amplified the noise thru PP. C&C welcome ![]() ![]() |

Every shot deserves a comment, especially when it is requested. I like your 'poster', however, I would prefer more space in front of girl - 2/3 perhaps. Maybe some PP to make girl herself less 'grainy'. There is something in this shot.

At last a comment T_T
Thanks for your comment. So you think I should apply the rule of 2/3 here? Will try it out and see how it turns out. ![]() As for grainy, I purposely amplified the noise to make it look grainy. I thought it would look more 'film-like' this way. Maybe its too grainy le ba. Will see how it is with less noise. Thanks for the comment ![]() |

Just a quick comment.
Overall, I really like the pictures and "treatment" is rather nice... Just some nickpicking.. I am not sure how to say about the "reverse" vignetting on the image as I continuously going back and look at the corner on the top. Also the blown highlight on the white top is rather distracting too... However, it will look a lot nicer in BnW when it comes with High ISO or accentuate Noise images... Hope it helps... Hart |

I don't know any theory about photographing, no idea about 1:3 rules etc. really. For me it is natural that when a girl walks she has more space in front of her where to go. I have seen excellent exceptions where 1:3 is in front but then there must be something else in composition. I like the 2nd one now better.
What comes to further PP'ing...when you change something it affects something else perhaps as here as Agetan commented: e.g. the blown highlight on the white top and corners on top. If editing doesn't come with better outcome you better take a step back to grainy one. You may try vignetting in PP which might bring more drama to your shot and lowers problems in corners. You may also do your own antique frames to make it look an old photo which I believe your intention has been. I hope you don't mind me to give you a sample here to share. There is no vignetting but 'hand made dust'. I have to admit this shot is from my son: ![]() Your photo is your piece of art...you may PP and print on canvas . |

![]() Also, I had actually thought of B&W, but since its so commonly done by other people, I wanted to try something different. |
