Default Sony HVR V1P and Sony FX 1000

Hi guys, i went to simlim and asked around for Sony Fx1000, seems like its very rare and have been discontinued but John at Funan have. One of the uncles recommended me Sony HVR V1P. and i realize the price between the both are the same. Which one will you guys take?

I'm quite confused over the price. The simlim guy told me he can sell me for 4350. while online prices like . skyrocket. why uh seriously.

Don't get V1P or FX 1000, try look for FX1 or Z1. If have $$$ get HVR-Z5P

I don't see anything wrong in getting a V1.
If I am selecting a camera for my biz, I'd never get a consumer model for professional work.

Willyson, there is confusion. FX1000e is new model, FX1 is old model discontinued. FYI as below. The ppl may be trying to sell V1 cuz it fits your budget. But take note it is not very popular due to roller shutter issues.

Depends on what u need the cam for. For biz, u will need XLR so go for the pro series. But if you go for pro series, u can choose bet Sony Z5p, Z7p, Canon A1s, etc. These are in the same league but they all cost 6k and above I think.

Sony Evolution
2005 CCD series:
Z1p (XLR Pro model)
FX1e

2007 CMOS series:
V1p
FX7

2009 EXMOS series:
Z7p
Z5p
FX1000e
