sony t90 or canon ixus 100 (red)

not sure if this a right thread. please forgive me. I am contemplating between this 2 model... cybershot T90 sony and canon ixus 100. The sales person gave me a demostration on sony camera and quite impressive with intelligent scene recognition mode,macro mode and features compare to ixus 100. Which camera gives excellent photos and HD videos? The reason of buying is to take HD videos. In terms of design, which is better? and popular. Initially, my mind was set on canon ixus 100 (red) but now also consider n sony T90 because of the features and design. I have not seen the videos taken using T90 but i have seen on canon ixus 100 and it was excellent . on www.vimeo.com. Please give me some suggestion?
