Default Wireless triggers for Canon flashes?

Hi guys,
I'm looking into getting some triggers and receivers for my 430EXII. I've tried using a 580EXII to master and trigger the 430EXII , but sometimes I don't want the 580XII to fire. I was at a photoshoot not too long ago and saw the other photogs using RF-04 and PT-04. I'm considering in getting one but I heard there are different kinds like Vs and TM and etc.

I saw the photogs used them with no issues , and I don't want to buy the wrong one which has a lot of problems from what I've read. Anyone guide me into wireless triggers? I'm quite confused but I'm planning to get a 580EXII in future and keep my 430EXII as well.

Thanks

Looks a little expensive ... how much difference are they from the usual ebay ones? I was looking less than $60 for 1 trigger 2 receivers....

You should read the 580EX II Manual for it seems to me that it is possible to configure the hot-shoe master flash so it doesn't fire while triggering the distant slave flash(es).

Thanks , will do that.
I think I'll be getting a trigger + receiver from tagotech first , then see whether will I be using another flash and get a 2nd receiver. I'm still a student and have no idea how to order through overseas

Thanks for the help guys !
