Hi all,
I'm totally new to this camera (and photography ). I saw some people have taken nice macro with LX3. I'm getting confused when I tried to buy some stuff to attach to this camera.. I read about Raynox 202 but i dunno if this is the only thing i need and also what is my LX3 thread size? Can anyone help me to list out the exact specification of what i need to buy so I don't go to and shop and hem my way not knowing what I want? Hehe, thanks all for the info in advance |

Hi u need to buy a 52mm adapter to attach raynox 202. For raynox think u can grab @ JLphoto.net for 120sgd.
Some of the photographers use raynox 250 and get nice results. Depend on what u prefer, as for me i am using 202. Below is the link to my recent post, nothing fantastic as i just started learning as well. ![]() http://www.clubsnap.com/forums/showthread.php?t=523491 |

Panasonic Lumix have the DMW-LA4 the original lens adaptor and is 46mm thread. 52mm only third party got it. When you get the original you need a step-up ring to fix on the Raynox lens. Hope is clear to you.

While trying to evaluate macros I have some questions:
1. Some shops here sell Emolux - wide conversion lens with macro for the LX3. Does it mean I use the macro lens for macro photography? Any sifu here have tried this option and any results to share. 2. If I were to use the macro lens (whether from Raynox, Emolux or Tokina etc..) do I need to set the camera setting to conversion in the LX3 camera (same as when I use the wide andle conversion lens?). 3. Besides Raynox, any other users have tried other brands of macro lens with the LX3? Thank you for you information for this noob. |

For your questions:
1. For those wide conversion len that comes with the so call 'macro len', you can just use the 'macro len' to shoot without the wide angle conversion len attach. FYI, the so called 'macro len' is actually a close up filter like those that are available in the market with different brands. I have not tried this option on the LX3 so I cant give you any results on it. 2. I dun think you need to set to wide conversion mode. 3. I am not sure of any other brands but I know that some bros out here have used the Raynox with the LX3 and have obtained good results. Bros out there correct me if I am wrong on my replies... Thanks!

I am using the Raynox Msn 202 with Lx3. Why using 202 instead of 250. Well because Lx3 only got 2.5X zoom. Also 250 is just x9 where else the 202 is x25. Here some sample taken by the 250 or 202.
Olympus 1.45x Tele conversion Lens, Raynox 250 and also the DIY flash diffuser.. F8 1/125.. 1. ![]() 2. ![]() 3. ![]() |

Hi all, I just got my LX3 and have some questions to ask..
For the macro functions on the LX3, what is the minimum focal length I can get? I find it very hard to focus on certain parts of an object up close, and manual focus gives a certain length but still doesn't seem focused. Is it because the object is not lit properly? |
