    Default slave flash woess

I have just bought a digi slave flash for my digicam, however all the pictures taken were underexposed. Using the built in flash alone gave brighter pics. Have any one encountered this before? pls advice.Thank you!

what's your camera? does the digi slave flash fire and still give underexposed pics? It's likely due to pre-flash which triggers off the digi flash before the shutter opens.

    Either:
    1. Use a digicam without preflash, or
    2. Use a slave flash with delay function (to compensate for preflash) - eg. Nikon Speedlight SB-26 (yeah, expensive for slave but it works perfectly - great for additional flash range to light up entire hall too and people wonder how i'd get that image using a tiny little p&s digicam - hahaha!)

If memory serves me right, c730 does not have preflash. maybe it would help if you tell use which slave you're using.

Its not a large hotel banquet hall but a smallish hall (comparatively) in a house or office or conference room. The SB-26 has enough range and power for that size. So why not? Need more range/power? Just zoom it.
