Default How to get back photographic sight

well, sad to say, I just can't see through the lens as I could before. Its like one of those dry spells.

I've not shot in quite sometime but whenever I think about taking my cam out, I just change my mind and put it back into the dry cabi.

When I look at the world around me, I used to see endless shooting potential but now I just see it as it is.

so.. how do you guys get back your photographic sight?
Really hope to get it back soon. Exams are coming up but after exams are holis for 2 weeks so I want to go out to shoot but if my "sight" does not return shoot also like that nia

i encountered that before.

i went to library to browse through photography books with nice pictures taken by others. I try not to look at technical stuff unless they have pretty images in them.

what works for me, may not work for u.

good luck.

hmm. try browsing flickr! look through photos from a group which interests you, like mebbe the pentax group or any genre that you like. you'll be bound to see something you like, and start shooting!

just recall why you first picked it up..

for me, it was the joy of freezing the moment, capturing moods, random stuff and anything at all..

go back to where you started, bro. and i hope that helps..

Try to shoot the neighbourhood cats/dogs/children. Slowly but surely your "photographic sight" will return. Everything is a photo opportunity. Even the weeds have nice flowers.
