As per above, should i buy Crumpler Industry Disgrace? The total weight of my carry around gear weighs around 2.5kg, heard that using a wider, better paded strap will distribute the weight better hence making the equipments feel 'lighter'. How true is this?
Are there other straps that is sub $30 range that are recommended? Brown / Black sold @ Crumpler shops cost $25 if am not mistaken, the Canon Red version cost $45?

i see... thank you all for various inputs!
yeap, whether it's comfortable does matter alot to me. i am currently using the original canon eos strap, feels that the carrying is quite uncomfortable after prolong period. any other straps that are comfortable yet doesnt look too bad to recommend?

I've tried Optech, Matin. In the end, Optech still my choice for comfort. Matin ones are stretchable and makes walking difficult as it "bounces" up and down

i used to swear by those martin neoprene ones in terms of comfort, but i agree that the stretchable material makes walking difficult due to the bouncing. I recently started to use the crumpler industry disgrace, and i think its very comfortable as long as u adjust it to the right length
ha.... and i think the red canon one looks great (even tho i'm using a nikon camera now) ![]() ![]()

I personally liked the small loops at the side, which are good for attaching ear plugs when shooting race cars or at airshows, hence I'm keeping mine.

I think it is very comfortable and the Canon red one cost about $36 or $37 at vivocity. But now I use BlackRapid because easier to attach and detach the strap from the camera.

Stock straps for current DSLRs usually aren't comfortable at all.

bought it initially, sold it within few days. prefer the optech strap which is detachable on both sides, for easy storage and cleaning if need. no need to keep looping in and out.
IMO, optech has more weight/tension reducing effect due to its construct with the stretchable elastic band on top of its super comfortable strap. not working for optech go take a look at both, feel them, and decide for yourself! ![]()

Personally I like the RS straps. Very comfortable and allows free-movement of camera easily.
