Dear all,
Today, after my tethered shooting session at my studio, somehow, after dettaching the USB cable, my 5Dmk1's LCD seems very unusual. I removed the 5D from the cable, then inserted my CF card to do usual shooting, but after that, the picture on my LCD screen are like solarized! But the pictures on my CF card, when view thru my MBP, is normal. Put the CF card back to the 5D, the picture seems normal but then it turns solarized again. Any users encountered this problem before and any suggestions? ![]()

Did you terminate the USB connection via the computer before unplugging the USB cable from the camera?
I honestly haven't heard of this happening before, but what I would do as a first step is shut down camera, take out main batt, take out button cell (if your camera has one), wait a few minutes or a few hours, re-insert both battries, power up and do a hard reset of ALL setting back to factory default and see if that helps. If it doesn't, try again and see how. I'm not sure if the above will help you, but I'm guessing something got screwed up eventually when you unplugged the USB cable, and a hard re-set might help. Another possibility is that something inside or the LCD screen itself is already wonky. Sorry I can't be of much help here. |
