Nikon 28-70

Can anyone recomend a alternative to nikon 28-70 F2.8 that is close to the quality this len produce?

Tokina 28-70mm f/2.6-2.8 Pro I or II. great optics, only cannot match the AF speed of the Nikon AFS of course. stopped down to f/4, this is a match for the Nikon ED glass. still available mint 2nd hand. i'm using this and so's many others and i think we can all vouch for the performance of this lens.

Wat is the diff between the Pro I & Pro II?
