Default 10mm on DX or 16mm on FX?

Hi I am newbie(Canon user) for wide angles and just wondering for most widest shot for which lens and body? I am using DX, so I can use 10-22, but for FX with 16mm will it be more wider? Please kindly advise me for dummy question
current i using tamron 17-50 2.8, I fell that 17 is still not wide enought for me sometime.

DX and FX are Nikon terms.

The Canon sensor crop factor is 1.6x

So 10mm on the Canon APS-C will be the same as 16mm on a full frame camera.

No he's not. He's just throwing out a hypothetical focal length used on full-frame.
