    Default Bags for Nikon 5000D

Hi, asking a question for my friend here.

He's getting a Nikon 5000D soon, and it only comes with a 8GB memory card. He needs a bag as well, so any options for him?

Also, any tripod recommendations for 5000D?

    Thanks in advance.

Get the Rezo 190 AW Nikon bag then, try to find a dealer that would bundle it in. It's sufficiently big for a beginner's kit - DSLR and 1 or 2 medium to small lenses.

Alternatively, Lowepro Stealth Reporter 100 AWs(old model) are going cheap.

    First off, it's Nikon D5000.

Is he going to get a bag just to fit the camera with the attached lens, or does he want to carry any additional lenses?

There are about 1000 "recommend a bag" threads here. Any will fit.

Get him to try the bags out at a camera shop to see what he likes. For me, I only use 3 brands: Billingham,Domke and National Geographic.
Kata and Domke bags are really good bags for beginners as they are made very well with Kata being significantly cheaper.Thinktank is also very good but I only like their modular system.Lowepro is the absolute worst of the lot with bad build quality and ugly features and looks. They also SCREAM camera bag with their box-ish shape. The last brand, Crumpler is decent but not very smartly made with some stupid flaws such as gaps at the sides of their million dollar home series.

    LOL

why get a bag when your friend's objective is to buy D5000 to take photographs instead of keeping it in a bag ... get a dry cabinet would be a better choice.
