Question Pentax Optio S or Casio Exilim Z3

Hi there,

I am looking to get either a Pentax Optio S or Casio Exilim Z3. Any suggestions on this?

Any response would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

The Optio S is smaller.. both cams use the same lens system (from Pentax) and the same digital processor (from Casio)... they are basically the same thing i think.... both are pricey...

Default forget both

i have the Z4 and had a chance to fiddle with a Canon Ixus 400. The images captured on Canon's auto mode were much better than those with manual settings on the Z4. I believe the Canon II is just as good if you are looking for 3MP. Canon images are really much more superior than the Casio.

Otherwise the Nikon Coolpix 3700 has very good features as well.

Settled for the Olympus mju 300 Digital in the end cos of the lower price with the same feature set compared to the Exilim or Optio. Either of these cost >$200 more.

Thanks for all your input!

I personally prefer pentax optio.
Why? because it is a pentax.
However, i find the dial at the back a bit too small. You will need to get used to it.
I often press the 'up' while i wanted the 'left'. In the preview mode,
left button is used to see the picture before the current one, while the up
button means you want to add sound to it.
