    ok , so its the same regardless of aperture right? as i have the same result on f1.8 and f4.

    aperture does matter if u are shooting sports,event,handheld but if u shooting with tripod with long shutter speed even f22 also can

    aperture matter.. y not? it decides ur DOF, the amount of light that it will allow to enter and maybe how sharp it will be.

    but if in situation when cant have flash (as canon uses short beams of flash for af assist, dk about nikon)is there any other way?

    bumb up iso, use larger f/stops or tri-pos(best) or mono-pod

    ya.Try metering on aperture mode,set it to the lowest and see ur shutter speed.Then go to the highest say f22
