Urgent: Volunteer Photographer Required This Saturday.

REACH Family Service Centre located at Bishan, a voluntary welfare organisation supported by Ministry of Community Development and Sports, is organising a fundraising carnival in aid of the School Pocket Money Fund.

They need an official photograher (Main requirement: Film SLR) on that day and are requesting for a volunteer or volunteer(s) to help out. Films will be provided and exposed film to be returned to REACH for their own developing.

Below are the details.

Date : 22 November 2003 (Sat)
Time : 11.30am ~ 4pm
Place : Bishan Community Club

Please PM me with your name and contact telephone # if you are interested to take on this voluntary, charitable effort.

Update:

Have received PMs from a few photogs - will be listing their names soon after discussion with organiser (REACH).

For digital shooters, the organiser does not mind additional photographers and will accept images on CDROM, but still need the main photographer to be on film.

Keep those PMs coming and those who provide an online portfolio of past work will stand a better chance of being chosen by the organiser.

hmmmm... I hope you are joking about this.

As far as possible, we must make sure that any paid or voluntary photographers from ClubSNAP maintain an acceptable degree of image quality and can shoot under pressure (see StreetFest 2002/2003 photographers as an example of what kind of calibre photographers we recommend and select).

As far as the organiser or requester for voluntary (or paid) photography services are concerned, they will judge ClubSNAP based on their experience and images from the volunteer(s), thus it will not be beneficial to ClubSNAP and its members if volunteers are not up to scratch.
