I think I know why you did not managed to take her (the other showgal) picture coz her attitude super "dao" . When you ask I ask if I could take a photo of her she say that she need to give out some lucky draw coupon (which I understand and walk away). To me if from the event's rule stated that no model photography, I understand and I would not bother the showgals for photos. But I did heard that the MC mention that photography is allowed ( for both cars & models) and I was not been ask any of the staff there when I was carrying my 450D + 580EX2 that photography is not allowed....

To Nissan (Tan Chong Motor), the purpose for them to engage showgals was to bring in the crowds and have their photo taken so that to promote their brands. For a showgals (not sales staff) not taking photo was uncommon (unless the product is not launch yet and no photograph was allow).

Anyway Jaslin was very graceful to have her photography taken....

the radio ads did mention that public is welcomed to take photos with the race queens, so maybe she was just shy. anyway, jaslin was also trying to avoid the cameras, cos while i was there, she walked or turned away whenever a dslr was nearby, have to ask her if can take a photo then she will oblige.

Personally if "shy" is the reason I guess being a showgal as a "race queen" is not suitable for her. If it is a event that need someone (not in a race queen's uniform) to just give out the brochures, not taking photo is understandable. Having "race queen" and announcing it on the radio is all about attracting the crowds, is like "cheating" on the mass....

At least for Jaslin, if you ask her to pose for the camera, she would oblige instead of giving excuses.

I was there too and had observed the following. The two Race Queens were only posing
for photographs when asked to by the little event girl photographer with people who wish
to have a picture taken with them in front of their new Nissan 370Z. Initially there were
quite alot of photogs arriving.Saw one photog approached the other model for a picture
and she was like gesturing towards the Nissan 370Z and then continued distributing the
brochures.When asked by the event photog to pose a picture with an uncle she immediately
obilged.Even Jaslin was quite relunctant but later obliged perhaps she recognised some
CS members she know.

Perhaps they were instructed to act this way guess they have no choice because they
are paid for the job.Am sure they are not being 'Dao'. If it was the SIN or SMS am sure
they will certainly pose for pictures gladly.I guess it comes with conditions of employment.

I notice that the other model would only pose for camera of the event photographer and not other photographer. If that is the case, the organiser is misleading to the people. If I was told by the other model that photographs of them must be taken by the event photographer only, I would also understand but this is not the case.
