I WAS DAMN BORED. and i read about educators and parents(isn't that all the people young people can turn to?) being the weak link in sexuality education so I wrote a poem about what I would tell my son when he becomes a lil older.
Let Daddy tell you,
what the media won't,
So why don't you listen,
with those headphones off?
You were ten
but had the lust worthy of men,
for what is untouchable
Son I was your age once,
and so I understand
Masturbation is taboo,
but it's only natural
As what happens in nature,
happens to us regardless of nurture
Just so you know,
the first girl to give you a handjob,
with your hand firmly against the knob,
is probably not the one you should marry!
And as for the forbidden fruit,
the taste won't be as sweet,
whether is it before or after marriage,
For what is perfection without practice?
I know you hate it,
institutions telling you what is common sense
but please do not spit,
on this advice I'm about to dispense
It's for our own good, they say,
but where's our sense of freedom,
if it's only the bland leading the bland?
dabble with pot,
perhaps the occasional cigarette,
But do not let these nefarious substances,
control your life,
For then they will become,
the very government you seek to avoid
We only live life once,
so die doing something that makes you bounce.
Finally note that Daddy is a,
heathen, infidel, atheist,
but did not choose to make you like me.
Religion is something someone chooses,
when he is comfortable,
and not at an age where you also believe in
Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy.
So make that choice wisely,
for as many friends you will gain,
as many friends you will lose too.
Just remember that religions forgotten,
will become fables for the next generation.
There! The three taboos,
defused but not confused.
I hope you appreciate
this information I shared.
