Thanks, prakasom. Depending on ur travel distance. I usually reach abt 6am for sunrise to look for diff possible angles to take.

Finally, I managed to find Changi Boardwalk, waking up sat and sun for sunrise, that gone my weekend sleep-late plan. And this is my reward.
New to HDR, this is a 7 exposures tone-mapped image.

This is nice. There seems to be halos around the lamp posts.

Thanks for sharing.

#1: Watch out for the slight horizon tilt, and the title decors are tilted as well.

As for the #4 HDR, understand that you're new in this. But there may not be a need to shoot a 7 exposure HDR for this scene. The number of exposures to be taken is dependant on the extent of exposure (f-stop) difference between the brightest part of the scene and the darkest part of the scene. So in your example, you can easily get by with 3 exposures: 0, +2EV, -2EV.

Fewer exposures certainly take faster to process. The other benefit of shooting less exposures is that you can get by with a sharper merged image since there're less background/object movement.

Cheers.

Thanks for sharing with me the tips. I was hoping to reduce the noise by acquring more exposures, and worried that the lamp will be blown out with lesser exposure as the background was very dark, plus object movement is less of my problem here. Processed again using Photomatix, still not so familiar with the software yet.

Noise is a constant pest in HDR processing. Using noise reduction software is sometimes necessary. A good one will be Noiseware Professional PS Plug-in. Have fun.
