Singapore Arts Festival 2009 RED - Stalker Theathre Company (Australia) at VivoCity, The Plaza 22 May 2009. The lighting is very very poor, manage to get some useable shoots, C&C welcome.

I found the show not very interesting, but if anyone still decide to go and shoot, no flash allowed, you need a very very fast lens, min. requirement is f/2.8 and camera body with min. ISO3200 and faster. Most of the time the lighting was very very dim, I need to change to 50mm f/1.8 to shoot. I wish I have the f/1.2 lens. No tripod at front, must sit down.

Bro TS...seems like u got urselves nice position...
also..u got a few sharp images too..
mine really almost cannot make it....too bad..i only got a 55-250mm IS which e aperture can't allow me to do much..e rest r base on tamron 17-50 f2.8..

anyway...1st time shooting an "art"...over all is still pretty interesting though...

I was there one hour early before the show, I managed to secure a front row center sit on the floor. My pictures are not as good as you said, since I do not have IS in my lens, the only solution was to fire three shoots in one press. All photo here were taken by 20-35mm f/2.8L for wide angle and 100mm f/2.8 for the tele. The 50mm f/1.8 did not give me any useable photo and 70-200mm f/4 was not suitable here for the dim light condition.

All picture posted here no pp no crop, all custom WB adjusted on site, only resize and sharpen only. I try to do all composition on site and it will save time for posting.

Shooting arts performance is always a test of your photographic's skill, for that night my tripod and flash light were not put to use but no regret, there were always rules of can and can not.

So, keep shooting.

yaya....will shoot more for sure...wanna make full use of wat i spend...else my heart will cry..haha..

Art Festival 2009 end on 14 June 2009, more shows coming and you will be able to shoot more.
