hi guys,
i just got a 3rd party flash with me, but have not bought any good batteries for it yet. i've dug threads in the forums and found that it is actually OKAY to use ANY type of charger ( provided it charges NiMH) for the eneloop batteries. am i correct to say that? i have an old sony 4xAA charger ( 3yrs ago, used for my compact one ) - is it okay to use that for charging the eneloops? if not, where would i get the best deal for eneloop 4xAA's + charger pack? i don't need a quick charger, standard one is best for me since it won't shorten the lifespan of the batteries. the best i've found so far is $38.40 for 4xAA's + charger (http://www.ardenmktg.com/sanyo-nc-mqr02ntg-er4.html), but no statement on the capacity though? is the capacity standard for all eneloops? ( advice for taking maha is appreciated but i'm on a shoestring budget.. ) |

I think the capacity is standard? The Sanyo enloops are one of the best batteries and have and can retain their charge for a very long period of time.

yup sorry, just did more research and found out that for LSD batteries, sanyo only has 2000mah. i'm quite outdated in this, still in the age of 2700mah regular rechargables. looks like they had a breakthrough.
anyway i found a comparison article between imedions and eneloops when used in a flashgun. eneloops win by faster recycle time whereas the imedions win by higher no. of flashes ( due to higher mah ). hope it helps. don't have to reply, i've decided to get 4x eneloops and use back my old charger. cheers! |
