FZ28 + LX3. Is this a good setup?

I have an FZ28 currently. I basically like it.. long zoom, decent image quality, etc. I am now thinking of getting an LX3. Do you think LX3 will give a considerably better indoor and low light IQ?

I am also considering going the dslr route to satisfy my urge to take good indoor and night shots. It even lead me to consider a D90 hehe. But the added weight and bulk are worrying me.

Any ideas, opinions, or suggestions?

once you go onto the dslr route, you will find that is not so convenient to bring along your FZ28, LX3 will be a better back instead due to its smaller size.
can also consider the D5000 but you're only limited to nikon AF-S or sigma HSM lens if you need to AF.
