Question Tamron 28-75mm XR Di on D100

Anyone is using this lens on a D100?

Can please advice on the performance, i.e. pic quality, AF speed etc..

I am seriously considering this lens.

Quoted by AP just now @ SGD590.00.

Very tempting!

TIA

Dunno about performance, but you might find that 28mm on the D100 is not quite wide enough, unless you already have a wide angle to complement this.

If you like the 28-70 range, you can also give the Tokina ATX Pro series a try.

I have both lTamron and Tokina 28-80 ATX Pro but used it on my S2Pro. Both have similar performance, both slightly soft open wide. However website evaluation is that the optical quality of the Tamron is better than the Tokina. This too coincide with my own experience before I stumbled on the website.

Hope this help.

Cheers

Have not tested it on a manual body and therefore cannot comment. Logically shouldn't be a problem as its not a "G" lens.
