HI,
How to use wireless flash for the SB 80DX? How to use the IR? What's the hotshoe accessory required? I tried looking in the nikonusa website for SB 80 manual but cannot find leh. BTW, I have D100. Please help. Thanks. |

I try ah...
u press SET until the screen changes, then up/down to this icon on the left that looks like a horizontal lightning. Left/right to toggle. then ON/OFF or SET to go back, then u'll be in wireless. MODE then to Auto or Manual, if mounted it will be the Master, dismounted for Slave. The sensor is on the right of the screen, a small matte window. There's an option for BEEPING to feedback status, plus the standard READY light. but I forgot the button for that hehe. PS: I used it with a Minolta digicam in Wireless Manual mode, at 1/1 power it doesn't sync, but 1/2 and less it syncs as a digital slave perfectly. Auto doesn't expose properly for me.

wireless mode for 80dx is built-in.
I dunno what IR u mean... the wireless comms for flash? try google "sb-80dx pdf user manual download" etc... page 82 LOL

I could use the wireless feature on the SB80DX with my Fujifilm S602Z's built-in flash. No accessories needed.
