First time doing such events, and in a pretty interesting lighting condition, at least to me.
Some of the more usable shots. ![]() 2 of the best riders of the night, together with the hot lady MC.. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Nice photos
I had a huge trouble focusing as well. Didnt think about using flash, and was late so didnt had front row stands. Hopefully there ll be another one next year. |

Me too, me too, the focusing part is slow on my S5IS. Even trying to use ext flash to enable fast shutter, with slow focusing all my pics bombed.
Action was so fast that no time to really go into manual focusing properly. Tried to focus lock also fail. Instead switch to videoing which turned out to be more rewarding. Think I need more practice on night shot with my prosumer. Or maybe it's time to move up a notch to better cam. Next year I hope to be more prepared too. |

stuck in the crowd with no room to play with angles sobs. Thought of using tripod but brought along a monopod instead. End up did not even use it, haha batteries leaked on the flash unit so i depend on available light source instead. looking forward to practice more in this situations. Camera data- shutter 1/40 sec Exposure manual f2.8 iso 2000 focal length 200

thanks for the nice comments so far. my first time too, and they were all handheld.. i forgot to bring my monopod along.. so missed quite a few shots. and i refusal to change new batteres for my speedlight made me miss even more shots. well, lessons are learnt everyday..
at one point in time, i was almost considering of putting it at manual mode, focus at the point where they will fly over in the air, and when they pass into my viewfinder, i just snap away.. haha but din really have the time to do that.. cos they juz kept coming... a few shots caught me offguard, and I was frankly surprised they turned out some sort ok.. |

Very nice taken!
I was there, It was HARD to take!!! Squeeze in limited space, e crazy crowds knocking my arms, "SMOKEY", Lightning is... & worst ITs too fast & Furious!!! X-Fighters Rules, but e tiredness makes me leave after round 2...

Great job there. In my opinion, your shots are technically the best so far.

Crowd kept pushing forward where I was, till my lens hood kept poking the person in front. |
