Default Scene Detection

At page 45 of the LX3 Manual , it is been said that we can set the optimum scene on IA mode, how to do it because everytime i press the shutter button to focus, no icon of scene appear ?

I am very newbie for photography.

Please advice

Hi if I'm not wrong what the manual means is that in iA mode it will auto detect the scene based on a few preset scenes, reviews done on it have said that it was quite smart at doing so as well. So basically in iA mode just point, focus, shoot, everything else the camera will auto do for you.

If you want to manually choose a particular scene type, turn the dial to "SCN" for scene selection mode.
