Found this lizard in the bathroom last night and was lucky it let me pick it up for a few shots.
Took them all with my usual setup. Nikon D90 50mm F1.8 prime lens Raynox DCR250 Manual Mode Hand-held Inbuilt flash + 2x DIY diffuser F16, ISO100, 1/125sec 1. ![]() 2. ![]() 3. 100% crop ![]() . |

Wow, these are great, especially the last one with the tongue on its eye! I've seen some of your pics before, Troy, and your macro shots are really awesome. I noticed you use the Raynox DCR 250, I tried asking about it at some of the camera shops here but no one seemed to know what I was talking about. Could you recommend any shop here that you know carries it? Thanks!

Thanks for all the comments.
The raynox is very easy to use, you just move the camera in/out to get the focus (no need to play with any focus rings on the lens). My setup is very light, so it's no challenge to hold it one handed. |
