Hi all, there has been a lot of talk about having a UWCS undewater shootout on 2004 jan-feb period.
Please give some feedback and hearcounts for those who wish to join us, currently we are suggesting MANADO, a split of Bunaken National Park and Lembeh Straits... For thos that are interested.. 1.) waisj |

ya it is the wet season. but the worst is at march. still can dive at that month but there will be some swells...
Since almost all of us are Advanced trained divers i suppose there should not be any real problem. |

Hi guys, interested, but due to unpredictable project (work) timeframe I'll have to sit on the fence first. Might end up joining in if possible.

Camera almost got "killed" on my first Nusa Peninda dive. Yes, i expected the strong down currents and swells, bt ntg beat experiencing it yourself. Strong currents are very difficult to quantify leh..... |

but that was in Bunaken National Park ; a big nono when there are white caps... but have not dived in Bali so not qualified to comment on that. none the less the currents on "sheltered" sites if chosen correctly will not be very strong.. (open water standard) hope that clears things up Last edited by waisj; 16th November 2003 at 04:27 PM. |

If this price list is anything to go, I think Bali is still cheaper & more sexy sounding to get to than the rest.... I can still comb that Liberty wreck & Kubu for a week and still not get bored... |

but airfare not cheap, transfer quite ex and long leh.....Now time to hunt for cheap airfares again...SQ bali $300 only
one thing i hate about bali though is that the dive sites are so bloody far apart. Even if u dive a site a day, getting there from your base is quite tiring. That is also why I have given up diving Bunaken, unless I stay on the island itself. But Lembeh.....they say if u cannot find it there, it prob doesn't exist |
