Hi guys,am thinking of getting a fast zoom len 2nd hand and my budget is only the two.Which do you guys recommend? In terms of IQ and focusing?
The only downside is that the 24-70 is very bulky and heavy with a filter size of 82mm and the 28-70 only 67mm.. Last edited by kikham; 12th May 2009 at 10:04 PM. |

how bout the new 24-70 HSM model did u plan for it lens?
it's great lens. but for the older model 24-70 f2.8 also is very good lens. same like me also using the sigma 18-50 f2.8 HSM = 27-75mm but it's very sharp and clear.

I have not used the 24-70 f2.8 but the Sigma 28-70 f2.8 has not disappoint me so far. Focusing and IQ have not been issues for me. The 4mm on the wider side might be useful though.
