i don't know, to me, there is still a difference.

maybe you think seeing someone in the nude/semi-nude is akin to sleeping with her; or the act of asking the person of each is equal; to me there is still a big big line to be crossed. i'm sure you get what i mean. how can you say that there is no difference?

i do get what you're driving at though, i must admit.

nonetheless, you are really digressing here; what we are talking about would be the photographer's side.

what do you think, do you think photographers should do such things in the name of photography? do you think it is right? would you want to be associated with such filth?

when i see seminude works or nude works, i am thinking, that is still fine, maybe it is in the name of art, so long as the image isn't obvious porn. but when i hear of photographers or "photographers" making such requests, it irks me, because there is no such grey area, it is simply put, black.

and between shades of grey and black, there is a WORLD of difference.

GWC.... he needs NO INTRODUCTION ... most of us dun even know him but have heard so much about him from his earlier victims. Seriously, we have nothing against him if he behaves himself ( WE HOPE HE IS READING THIS NOW ) .... its pointless to change web sites, names, nick... you are still YOU ... the girls will still recognise you tho on several occasions you tried to avoid your earlier preys ... We are concerned bcos he stains the industry ... thats why

and ....Cheryl, you are NOT helping him.... you are ENCOURAGING him to commit his pervy actions again ... as long as he gets away with it, he will DO IT again and again

anyway, since TS has started this thread, some of us might as well create more awareness ... we dun care whether he is RYAZEN or DEVINE T or DEVINE.. he can change his name to 'MR ANGEL' but as long as he attempts to touch any of his subjects or have pervy requests .. trust us that we will hound him

some of your earlier victims are tracking your movements, so reflect on your actions ... ( WE HOPE HE IS READING THIS )

Like the TS said, this is to create awareness ...so let this be an AWARE issue (pun intended) .
I am not helping him. In fact, if there's one person whom absolutely loathes PGs like this, it will possibly be me. I did stated I was being neutral, as I see no concrete evidence brought up by both parties and I do not know both parties personally. Only DV in msn, but we never met up before. I just thought that in scenarios like this, let's not jump into conclusions and be impartial first. I've never heard of such "rumors" and it will be nice if you can gather some evidence so that the mods can pursue this case further. I hear many people talking about him having previous nicks but that's not even useful; what's useful is bringing up evidence.

If nat is right, I'll really give him a good trashing. That's all I can say.

Why are we here reading this ?

Some because they are curious, some because they just made popcorn, some because they actually care.

This is one of a few threads relating to the treatment of models.

    here are another 3

    http://www.clubsnap.com/forums/showthread.php?t=512847

    http://www.clubsnap.com/forums/showthread.php?t=504950

    http://www.clubsnap.com/forums/showthread.php?t=513104

For anyone interested, I have counted how many views combined with these threads "8196"

    How many replies "310"

That is a lot of people that have looked and either ....

Thought "it will go away if I ignore it"
Thought "it is just too hard"
Thought "I am shure someone will do something, just not me"
Thought "I will go and think of what I can do and come back"

The main gist of these threads is MODELS ARE PEOPLE TOO not just photographic tools.

There are some out there that care more about their photographic gear than the people that work with them.

These threads are to make people aware of what can be going on and don't know about it.

As for the person that this thread is about; If it was me and I had nothing to hide or be ashamed of, I would be here and I would be quite angry saying it !.

I would not be using someone else to speak up for me.

    Cheers

Over the last 3 to 4 years, I have heard a lot about the alleged photographer, but then I also heard things about other photographers. The only difference is, I had heard from more than one model about the alleged, 3 times to be exact. All 3 claimed the alleged asked specifically for sexual favors.

I also found out that, the alleged did not force the issue. No sexual favors were forced, and at the end of the day, no crime was committed.

I asked the 3 models to come out to expose the alleged, but, as some had already said, they all told me "no way". Well, if there is no accuser willing to step up to the podium, what can we do?

I have also talked to many more established models who had posed for her, and from their comments, all was well. So, who to believe?

One interesting observation, why did the alleged change nicks, change websites, change names so often? Funny isn't it? And then, why did he not come screaming for libel, isn't that what everyone in similar position will do?

At the end of the day, models just have to be careful, and check up on independent references, and not to put themselves into unattainable situations. And barring more "victims" coming out, all we can do is to raise the awareness of such behaviors, they should not be tolerated.

i think the first step is to educate the mollers to say "no" and not to do things that they don't want to.

This is a good suggestion, models need to know exactly where the line they should or should not cross, comply or refuse the PG but be aware of the boundaries of the shoot requirements.

Meaning if the shoot is for lingerie, then don't show more than that, I don't know maybe people here can define better, if lingerie does model need to strip off bra and cup it with their hands? I think that is going beyond the requirement.

Saw the photos provided in link... quite sickening really, especially the last page the caucasian model face seems like not happy.

How about a public warning sticky on the general guidelines pertaining to model shoots?

Many cases have been posted here but yet things just keep happening. That's why there are so many "awareness" thread. But the thing is how many have really learnt the lesson thru others' experiences and not just learn to say NO but to expose those perverts before they do more harms to others.

I believe that there should be much more suggestions or inputs etc to improve this thing as there are plenty of those portraiture or "fashion" photographers and models here. They are the one would be benefiting. Safer for both parties. To prevent being the victims for the perverts or being flame by unnecessary misunderstanding.

Kinda reminds u of SLS cheating cases huh? Warnings have been posted on threads over and over and over again until repeat viewers feel like they are watching some kind of movie on a broken movie projector.

Still, I guess its time to stop there and then. There's something called a "SEXUAL HARASSMENT" charge or even an "OUTRAGE OF MODESTY" charge.
Yes ladies, you DO HAVE a choice. An outright "NO" is a warning to the chap not to proceed any further or you can always have the 2 abovementioned choices at any time.

As hanz170 said, "This is a good suggestion", but I think that models out there should also be made aware that we are here for them also.

I imagine that there may be a number of models that have been too afraid to say anything because they think that photohraphers talk to each other and they might not get ANY work if they complain about one of them

Just as a move of showing that the issue is strong enough and cared about here, why not start with a sticky in PhotoShoots section that contains "known and trusted organisers"

Time, is an effortless construction :)

actually it is common sense, but normally blinded by $$$

just like buying equipment, homework needs to be done in advance
if they still insist on going to SLS to try their luck and get burned, we cannot stop them.

are we talking about organisers or photographers?
they (the mollers) should talk among themselves and share info about good and bad photographers.
since no one wants to name and shame the photographer

i agreed on what you said for this.

As for this case for the Model hooting etc. It can be improved and make it a safer place here and also for the benefits of CS image too, right?

I understand that it never easy for Mod to moderate the thread and also the very hard for Admin to look for new moderators to join as it hard to find good ones etc. But everything start from a little step to make the improvement.

Where can one go if one even not on the 1st step?

that's why a closed thread for those interested parties will be good
