Default Greetings from Beijing

Hi guys and gals, I finally settled down in Beijing. Been super busy for the past 2 weeks with apartment hunting and going to work. Didn't really have anytime to shoot anything yet, except for my new apartment here. http://art2d2.clubsnap.org/gallery/bjapartment

Take care everyone, enjoy the outing this coming weekend. Cheers.

Nice view from the window. I am sure Beijing and its surrounding will offer ample opportunity to shoot. So, when will we organise a tour to Beijing?

hi arthur, good to see that you've settled in nicely. the apartment looks quite cosy, almost like a singapore condo! you should remove those paintings and put up some big prints of your photos

Nice place! Having a park right outside is always good, not concrete all over. And maybe it's a good hunting ground for macros.

Thanks everyone. Yeah its a nice place to stay. Only complain is the pollution as well as the traffic. I went to the Bird's Nest stadium during the weekend, will post some photos later. Probably after this week I will start going around those popular camera shops to check out for good deals. So far I seen new camera gears are quite expensive here. I check China online prices from www.rayi.cn , one of the more popular online store. http://www.rayi.cn/viewCatalog.do?id=328

From there the prices for K20D body is RMB 4799 (exchange rate is 4.6) so its around SGD1043 for body. K-M kit is around SGD717.

Prices for lenses are quite high http://www.rayi.cn/viewCatalog.do?id=48. So will be patiently waiting for the price for the K7.

Hi Arthur,
I must have missed some thread on this..you immigrated there or working there?
Your flat pictures look like a condo scene from Singapore and not like what we see in the Chinese films!
Anyway, congrats on your moving in ...now we have "pentax consultant" deployed in China..
Do post more shots...maybe you will be the first to showcase the K7 pics!
