I dream of ..... strobes?
It would be great to have fellow PG that share a common interest. I see potential PG learning on harnessing light that you can control. Singapore Strobist hah nice ring to it. Imagine the learning curve from sharing ideas and creativity. Imagine all the flash you can have connected to one system. Go on .. imagine.. that day will come ... so now i call on my fellow friends....

Er . . . . .
Actually , as a newbie , I have a simple question . What is a ""STROBE"" ? Is it a portable flash unit , is it a studio unit or is it just a new name for the flash that have existed for dozens of years . I always have this impression that it is a big gizmo have can give out pulses of light (strobe) many , many times in a second . Which is which . Rgs  |

Strobe is a generic term which means flash equipment like speedlites, monoblocs, flash heads etc.
However, it is been gaining popularity as a term for speedlites because of strobist Dave Hobby. As such, its usage is very much reserved for speedlites now. |
