Default Macro @ Admiralty Park 10/05/2009

I managed to get to AP at 8am this morning (the thunder dragged me out of bed early zzz).
I was lucky to get 1.5hrs of shooting in before the storm hit again.
Here's my shots for the morning.
Thanks to the regulars for sharing their Crab Spiders once again. I still haven't found one of my own!

EDIT: thanks to James for pointing out the Crab spiders

Wow Troy, nice shots. Your pics just keep on getting better and better.

I guess one fly said to the other along the lines of, "Oh, that peeping Troy is back again. Gimme some speed honey, let's show him how we jive!."

I knew where to find them, I just failed to realise how small they are! Need to look much closer to find one lol

I was just taking revenge on the time a fly was watching me! haha

Yeah, quite hard to avoid I believe. I would've liked an attempt without the flash, but the sun was still behind the trees, and it was about to rain. I did find 3 of these in the one spot, but they wouldn't stay still, and eventually flew away.

There's this one tree that's west of the Crab Spider area (north side of the path). Hopefully it's covered in pupae now

That's when I left, just in time! It would've been good to stay after the rain, all the insects and greenery was wet. I saw some nice wet crab spider shots posted from after I left

Flashgun? I used a flashlight for focus on some of the shots, and the internal flash on the camrea. No external flashes used.
