hi all...
just thought id post a few pics i took of a friend of mine skating a few weeks ago... still learning about proper slave flash use haha

shot with a canon 20d, efs 17-85mm f4-5.6, 2 ex580 flashes & ste2 transmitter

oh my. was this sk8 session shot in the basement of The Shaugnessy? in yishun? ahahaha. cool shots btw!

I think the way the flash is use can be improved. It is very harsh and creating too much shadow and subject is not properly lighted. The flash also generated flares.

nice shots. reminiscent of the times i was still reading transworld! heh. on a more critical reading, i suppose you could consider zooming in a little more to remove the flash and tripod from your pics. or cropping the same. i like how you selected the pics. to me it shows the best of the trick and the skater. cheers

yeh i totally agree with you... this is like the 4th time ive used the flashes so im still figuring out the best places to put em haha...
although i thought the flaring in the 1st one actually looked kinda cool haha

nah haha the basement shots were in my friends condo around holland rd somewhere
