Default Colours of Lower Peirce 080509

Thanks to Steve and Sunny for the outing: without you...no pictures.

I have never realised the how beautiful these horrible things can be, in the dark.

Feel free to comment and I hope you like them. (don't laugh, too loudly)

Thanks for viewing, exorzist.

Next time I will not request "no laughing".........STOP...laughing

Macro very tiring...lens heavy, DOF shallow, need to curl into all sorts of positions and hold the breath (almost fainted).....Taihen Desu..
WIll definitely try again but cannot promise you that I'll do it till the day I die....

your shots seems far from the object.

will be even nicer if the object is bigger.

Dear Kelvin
Thanks for your comments.
I was using my Nikon 105mm micro lens but I had a lot of problem with lens movement...I couldn't keep still for the bugs
I will try to find some larger subjects for you.

3 diff JS on the 1 night, or did you model him on 3 different runways? So lucky!

BTW it's spelt "Pierce". The signboard there is wrong!

Steve managed to find them all.....The insects modelled for him...they actually dissappeared once he left the site. Very very strange...

nice captures in LP ... alittle more diffused lights needed to reduced the dark shadows on the underside of the JS

Thanks for your comments, Enzo.
If not for Sunny's extra diffuser given to me, that night would have been a worse disaster. Had problem with the intensity of the flash vs distance vs diffusion....
Will try to improve in the subsequent outings...hopefully.
