Read from a mag that Tokina has just introduce this lens.
Has always been impress by the build and pic. quality Tokina lens produces. The range it covers make it an idea holiday going and street photography lens. Futhermore Canon has no lens with this zoom range. Wonder when will it arrive on our shore? Or has it already been launched in S'pore? Hope its price would be good and I won't hesitate to go for one ![]() |

more reasons to spend $$!! looks like a good 2-in-1 lens; wide angle + zoom. compact enough too...![]()

Looks like a nice travel lens. Shorter than the Nikon 18- 135mm kit lens I have. Says out for Nikon mount in US in June- Canon mount in July. Now if it was a fixed aperature....
Some specs: http://www.shotaddict.com/wordpress/...4/01/6299.html I see it listed at an online store in the USA. The price is about the same range as their 50- 135mm or 11-16mm f/2.8 lenses which is quite a bit more than the price of the Nikon. While searching for info on this lens, I found that they had another lens they mentioned at the same time- an 18-60 f/2.8. That may be an interesting lens. Wonder when it might come out? I still need a faster zoom in about that range. ![]() http://nikonrumors.com/2009/04/05/ni...nksrumors.aspx

Doesn't seem like there is going to be any kind of shake reduction on that lens...
