hey guys . i have been reading this forum for a very very long time and this is the first time i am posting something i am in need of help
i am currently using a nokon d80 with tamron 17-55 f2.8 and a nikon 50mm 1.8 i would like to purchase a flash new or second hand but i am not sure which one. the nikon's are great buy expensive. i havent learn flash photography but very very interested in it and i may want to strobe in future. so the question is do i buy a sb 900 or a second hand sb 800 or can i buy the cheaper nissin or tumax flash to master the flash technique. and if i would like to stobe with just one flash , can the cheaper nissin or tumax be able to produce beautiful pictures ? i beleive they are not wireless and need use my built in flash as ttl. if i dont need the direct flash then how to trigger the strobe? use a card to block the light ? and if i buy the cheaper flash can it be used in later stage with nikon sb ? please help. thank you |

Tumax flash can be triggered without wire by two options;
1)using built in optical sensor (yes you need to fire your pop up flash) 2)using RF trigger (you don't need to fire your pop up direct flash) The flash comes with full manual control,such as power ratio,zoom,iso,fstop,therefore you can set your required setting to get your desired exposure. ![]() ![]() |
