Default New to IR

Hi, i have tried IR before on a D70s.
I am really interested to try IR again.
I am planning to get a D70s too, but is it recommended?
Got some simple questions as well, such as why will photos be all black if shutter speed is too fast? Yup, thats about it. Any good IR-suitable lens to reccomend? Thanks

D70s is a good camera for infrared. If the image comes out black, you are not giving it enough exposure. An IR filter blocks a lot of light and you may need an exposure of several seconds- depending on available light. Experiment with what exposure times work best. For lenses, you may check this sticky thread: http://www.clubsnap.com/forums/showthread.php?t=183234
